ABOUT
CAMBRIDGE ARTIST & ENTRPRENEURS
Our Mission:
We are Cambridge and Jeffersonville Artists and Entrepreneurs. Seeking to make Cambridge, Vermont as inspiring and attractive to locals as it is to visitors, we work for a strong and sustainable business community in the Town of Cambridge, including Cambridge Village, Jeffersonville, and the Smugglers’ Notch Recreation Area.
Our Vision:
Through communication, area marketing and promotion, event sponsorship, community action and outreach, we support a profitable, accessible, and visible business landscape.
Our Challenge and Our Goal:
Cambridge, Vermont is home to a rich collection of natural resources, organizations, arts and businesses and people. Our challenge is to unite these diverse interests into a cohesive, supportive and profitable community model. Our goal is to market and promote Jeffersonville, the Cambridge Valley and Smugglers' Notch Recreation Area as a single, attractive destination for tourism, business and permanent residency.
This in turn will support a profitable, accessible and visible business landscape, thereby enhancing the financial and social interests of all in the community.

In July 2010, a handful of town business representatives decided to meet informally to discuss the future of a town center, and its impact on their own economic future. From those meetings, the Artists and Entrepreneurs group was formed.
It was decided early on that a web portal was envisioned as a preferred communications site that will lead visitors to all the activities, news, organizations and businesses in the Town of Cambridge.
Cambridge includes within its boundaries the Villages of Cambridge and Jeffersonville, plus the Smugglers Notch Recreation Area, all featuring prominently in the marketing plan. This portal will be a total community website, as opposed to any official municipal website independently developed by town government. (Of course, a municipal website would be linked within the portal.) This site is intended to be a comprehensive collection of events, businesses and organizations. Member businesses will have an enhanced presence and content control on the new site, but nonmembers are still included in a basic listing.
Our goal is to create an electronic portal to ALL THINGS CAMBRIDGE, and to market that site through community awareness and search engine optimization. We hope this will help lead to a revitalization of community participation and awareness, while enhancing the interests of local businesses.
HAVE A SUGGESTED CHANGE TO ANY BUSINESS LISTING? LET US KNOW! WE'RE 100% VOLUNTEER DRIVEN AND WE MISS THINGS SOMETIMES. WE APPRECIATE ANY INPUT!
